My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

In 2019, my world fell apart when we lost our daughter just before her second birthday. Grief, guilt, and anxiety overwhelmed me, and I believed I had failed at the most important thing, keeping my child safe. Even as we welcomed more children into our lives, the anxiety and guilt continued to overwhelm me.

I am immensely grateful for the love and support that we have received. The unwavering care and compassion from our family and friends have been a lifeline for us.

However, it's crucial to acknowledge that their support, though amazing, was not all that I needed. It was only when I took the step to seek and accept professional help that the healing process truly began. Help that I am so grateful to have access to.

In a world that often expects men to be the strong silent type, it is hard to admit vulnerability. Guys, myself included, tend to downplay our mental and physical struggles, thinking that we can tough it out. But the truth is, we can't always bear the weight of our problems alone. It's okay to ask for help, and it's okay to accept it.

That's why I'm growing my moustache this Movember. I have seen over the years that it is a conversation starter, a reminder to all the guys out there that it's perfectly okay to ask for and accept help when needed.

Movember is not just a fun tradition; it's a personal challenge that gets me to accept my emotions and feelings. Simultaneously, it's a global movement with a mission: to elevate awareness about men's health, encompassing both physical and mental aspects.

By participating, I hope to encourage men to open up, share their stories, and seek the support they deserve. And, in doing so, I aim to raise funds to contribute to vital programs and research focused on improving men's mental and physical well-being.
